About us
The Well is located in the lush, green countryside of East Cork. Near the North Channel of Cork Harbour, it is surrounded by trees and plentiful space. This natural beauty sets the scene for a venue of learning, change and growth.
Our neighbourhood of Ballintubber means 'townland of the well' in Irish. This is due to an abundance of springs and wells amongst the limestone geology. We hope that visitors and clients can grow into 'well-ness' here.
The Well is a resoration of Georgian limestone farm buildings in a private courtyard. The building has had a varied history. Originally it was a farm building, and from 1969 until recently, it was used as a stone sculptor's studio and workshop. It is now a venue being used for Psychotherapy and Nutrition practises. Our group room enables this private courtyard to be available for conferences, meetings, classes, workshops, art classes or private parties....
